the undercoat brush is so effective for my medium hair cat! i’m always surprised by how much hair comes out despite how i brush him regularly with standard brushes. you would think he’s never been brushed before when i use this one.
thankfully he loves being brushed but i find it best to do short strokes rather than trying to run the brush along the length of his body since it seems to pull his fur and irritate him. you also have to be careful with the tail—he has long thick fur but the brush can catch that last little bone if you’re not mindful of that.
i find that i have to do additional work with a fine tooth brush as some fur will continue to come out after the undercoat brush which doesn’t pick up everything.
my cats always feels and looks so soft after using this brush.
the only downside is that this doesn’t work on my short hair cat since his fur isn’t very dense. i could see it working on a short hair with more thickness though.
This is the best de-shedding tool ever. I had a fluffy cat with some hair matte in her backside. This tool got them out quickly with very little to no discomfort to my kitty friend. I use this tool daily to help keep those mattes down now and get rid of loose undercoat. It is so quick and easy to use. Cleaning both combs are easy. The fur literally slides right out. It couldn't be any easier. The combs are a nice size making them easy to grip and use. The double sided one has a side for large mattes and another side for smaller mattes. Both sides work great for de-shedding
These combs are excellent to be able to pull out the old hair, my dog, and whenever I comb it, he stays, I want it, because the quality of the comb makes it feel uncomfortable, and thanks to these beautiful combs, the hair of my dog looks beautiful.
This comb combo is really great!! I had another comb for her but didn’t do as much hair as this comb did. I am really surprised how easy was it to use. How effective it was. My dog did have a bit of a tangle problem but this helped a lot on that issue. I did this outside because I didn't want hair inside the house. I wore a mask because I do not want stray hairs getting to me. My dog is about 8 pounds and small. With all this hair, I feel as I made another dog. Overall, a really good comb combo!!
We have two ragdoll cats who are full of tons of hair. That lead to a lot of hairball vomit. My cats won’t eat the hair control treats so we’ve started brushing them with this every day and the vomitting has lessened. It takes up so much hair from the top as well as the bottom. It’s really easy to use. We’ve had another of these that the handle is messed up on so we got this one instead and it works flawlessly. I’d highly recommend it.
